  1. Hellow! my name is Karina, I am from El Salvador. I am the president of the Relief society in my ward and I am looking for an idea to celebrate the 171 aniversary. I love the idea of the bingo that you made. Could you explain to me how play this?
    Thanks.

    • I would purchase a bingo game or make small pieces of paper with each letter with corresponding number on it the letter “B” should have B-1, B-2 (all the way through For those not familiar with the game, each card has a 5 x 5 grid with numbers in each square, except the center square, which is the “Free Space.” The columns are labeled B, I, N, G and O. The B column has 5 numbers between 1 and 15. The I column has 5 numbers between 16 and 30. The N column has 4 numbers between 31 and 45, plus the Free Space. The G column has 5 numbers between 46 and 60, and the O column has 5 numbers between 61 and 75. No number can appear on the card more than once.)
The caller draws a letter/number and reads it to the group the group then places a marker I have used candy, paper anything to mark that you have that one and when you have a line of 5 in a row across up and down or on an angle you yell out bingo!!! We have also played to black out which would mean that every number is filled and you could yell blackout!!! I am putting a link which has pictures here: <a href="http://m.wikihow.com/Play-Bingo” title=”Bingo durections” target=”_blank”>http://m.wikihow.com/Play-Bingo
We had small prizes to those who win like a candy bar.

    • Great question, prior to playing BINGO you will want to give the ladies time to mix-n-mingle and you can decide beforehand if you want to allow one person to sign for up to two or just one space. So for example Molly goes to Jane and asks her if she did one of the things typed in the spaces and Jane says yes I did …._____ so Jane signs in the space but she can’t sign another space, that is the only one she can sign in (unless you don’t have very a very big attendance you may want to up the amount any one person can sign). Molly then mingles around the room getting other women to sign in the remaining spaces until it is all filled up. Try and limit this time and keep things rolling because the BINGO part is really FUN TOO!!!

      • Judy I used a regular BINGO game piece that I would draw out a piece that was B-4 and instead of saying B-4 I would look at the number 4 on the sheet with numbers and read what number 4 says so I would say “B, Gone visiting teaching this month”. You could just have numbers B is 1-15 I is 16-30 N is 31-45 G is 46-60 & O is 61-75. I hope this helps!

  2. Did you have a handout or gift for each sister? Also did you have a dinner or just refreshments? Thank you for sharing your idea

  3. Hi!
I think it’s a very nice game that I want to use at our Enrichment Night this month, in just a couple of weeks. The only problem I have is that two of the things on the cards are not applicable to where I live in Gilbert, Arizona……We don’t have snow to shovel and lived in Utah all your life aren’t quite right for us. Is there any way that I could get an editable version to make those adjustments?
